The ruins of 12th century Jervaulx Abbey (and tea rooms!) are a short stroll, and the charming market towns of Leyburn, Bedale and Masham are nearby as are the Wensleydale Creamery and Brymor Icecream Parlour. Ripon is 15 miles and the city of York is 35 miles. Shop and pub 3 miles.
